I have a theory about Chinese food places. I believe that all the little Chinese food places all over Canada at least are actually parts of a chain. I say this because I’ve noticed a few details about these places that just doesn’t make sense to the idea that so many small towns have independent Chinese food restaurants.
My first clue is the fact that there is a Chinese restaurant in almost every town in Canada. More importantly I’ve noticed that so many of these restaurants are in fact run by Asian people. Who lives in China and decides that Cochran Ontario is in fact the place they want to move and start up a new business. How do these people know anything about the town and the fact that there isn’t a Chinese restaurant there already? I think it’s pre-planned, I think that people in Asia buy into a franchise and are given a town to start this business.
The other thing that gives me a clue is the fact that all of these restaurants have products made by the same company “Wings”. It seems odd that so many restaurants would just randomly choose to use the same products and serve pretty much the same food (which isn’t even really Chinese food, it’s Americanized Chinese food). It just seems odd to me.
